Generation of Electricity through Piezoelectric Crystal

This paper on "generation of electricity through piezoelectric crystal" is to describe a new, efficient design of a wearable energy supplier. In this report foot fall or heel strike methods are discussed to generate electricity. Foot fall or heel strike is one of the significant methods of harvesting energy and the project aims at developing a shoe embedded with piezoelectric material (PVDF) into a noble wearable energy supplier. The goal of a power harvesting device is to capture the normally lost energy surrounding a system and convert it into usable energy for the electrical device to consume. By utilizing these untapped energy sources electronics that do not depend on finite power supplies, such as the battery, can be developed. Generation of Electricity through Piezoelectric Crystal

Piezoelectric generators work on the principle of piezoelectric effect. There are some material which has ability to create electrical potential when responding to mechanical changes. When these materials are compressed or expanded or otherwise changing shape a piezoelectric material will output some voltage. This effect is also possible in reverse in the sense that putting a charge through the material will produce in it changing shape or undergoing some mechanical stress. These materials are useful in a variety of ways.
