B.Pharma Project on Manufacturing of White Disinfectant

This is a pharmacy project report on manufacturing of white disinfectant for fulfillment of the requirement of elective subject GMP, quality assurance and validation. This project report start with telling use of Antiseptics and disinfectants on hospitals and are an essential part of infection control practices and aid in the prevention of nosocomial infections. Use of antiseptics and disinfectants has increased tremendously has the risk of microbial contamination and infection has increase to great extend. In all this report is divided into 8 chapters and give detail information about manufacturing of disinfectant.





There are particularly 6 types of disinfectant which are Air disinfectants, Alcohols, Aldehydes, Phenols, Quaternary ammonium compounds ("quats") and others.

Process of Manufacturing Disinfectant

Disinfectant fluids of all classes shall be stored in mild steel , tinned or other suitable container. Disinfectants shall not stored in the container made up of Galvanized iron. Cold process is mainly used to manufacture the disinfectant.

Labelling:

The Labelling of disinfectant container should be done properly by providing proper and complete information in it , including its Precaution during use and application.

The Disinfectant has desired number of RWC (Redial Walker Coefficient), which is manufactured during this process. Generally disinfectants which are use in home for cleaning and sanitizing purpose are of grade 3 having R.W.C number 5.
