This is a final year Electrical project on "manufacturing and design of insulation system for air cooled turbo generator by V.P.I process". In this project we have made a detailed study of the Vacuum Pressure Impregnation system of insulation. This system is employed by BHEL first in the country and second in the world next to Germany. This type is preferred as it is highly reliable and possesses good mechanical, thermal properties and di-electric strength. In this project, author has given detail study of only stator, rotor and the insulation system used for it. The parts excitation system, cooling system and bearings are external to the generator and are treated as a completed one and are out of scope of our record. Use this project for your reference and study only.
