Chemical Engineering Project on Filtration (Cake Filters)

This is a good Chemical Engineering project report on Filtration which focus on mainly all types of filters like Cake Filter and there specification, Clarifying Filter, Cross Flow Filter etc. Filtration is the removal of solid particles from a fluid by passing the fluid through the filtering medium or the septum, on which the solids are deposited. Most industrial filters are pressure filters, vacuum filters, or centrifugal separators. You can also Subscribe to FINAL YEAR PROJECT'S by Email for more such projects and seminar.

Types of cake filters include the following: Discontinuous pressure filters, Discontinuous vacuum filters, Continuous vacuum filters, and Centrifugal filters. Most common filter aids are diatomaceous silica and perlite. Principles of cake filtration describe constant-pressure filtration and constant-rate filtration. As the rate of filtration is held constant, there is an increase in pressure drop. Use it for your reference and study work only.
