Currently, most food and beverage companies rely on traditional waste disposals methods such as landfilling and incineration to dispose of their waste. 

While these methods are effective in the short term, they can have serious environmental impacts in the long run due to the release of hazardous chemicals and pollutants into the environment. 

Furthermore, these methods are often expensive and inefficient, leading to higher costs for the industry. Therefore, there is a need to explore more efficient and cost-effective waste management solutions.
