This paper tries to reevaluate the use of smart card and its importance in the financial transaction.
The smart card has been technically proved to be secure even almost a decade ago. But so far the industries have failed its technological advantage. There were a few implementations of the smart card payment systems and ultimately it did not receive enough attention.
