Quasi Resonant Converter, ZVS - Boost Converter

This project talk about zero-voltage-switching quasi-resonant boost converter operating at constant switching frequency which is submitted for partial fulfillment of the requirements for the award of the degree of Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The key principle that drives the boost converter is the tendency of an inductor to resist changes in current. Control Circuit as Connected in Multisim
In this project Multisim 8 software is used, part of the latest suite of innovative circuit design software from Electronics Workbench. Our project Control Circuit, Power Circuit and Total Circuit is connected in Multisim whose control circuit is shown above.

Future Scope of the Project

This project can be improved as current-fed zero-voltage switching isolated boost converter suitable for fuel cell applications. Preserving the inherent advantages of the current-fed converter which include smaller input current ripple, lower diode voltage rating, and lower transformer turns ratio, the proposed converter does not require any clamping and start-up circuits unlike the conventional current-fed converters. Use this report for your reference and study only.
