Controlling of Stepper Motor using Computer Interfacing & Wireless Control

This is electronics project report on "controlling of stepper motor through computer interfacing and wireless control". This project explains how to control and run a stepper motor through computer interfacing. The Step Motor is an electromagnetic device that converts digital pulses into mechanical shaft rotation and its use are many. The circuit incorporates a small high quality stepper motor combined with a series of driver IC to enable AT89C51 micro-controller of the stepper motor. Stepper motor comes together with LCD indication for change in speed and direction of rotation. You can also Subscribe to FINAL YEAR PROJECT'S by Email for more such projects and seminar.

Above shown is the block diagram of stepping motor system which consists of three basic elements viz. Indexer, driver, motor and user interface which are explained below.

The Indexer is usually a micro-controller effective at bringing in step pulses in addition to route impulses to the new driver. Furthermore, the indexer is normally forced to accomplish many other complex control operates.

Your Driver (or Amplifier) turns the indexer control impulses into the electric power necessary to motivate the generator windings. You'll find so many sorts of drivers, along with diverse current/amperage rankings and structure technological know-how. Only a few drivers are generally suitable to run almost all motors, and once building a new Action Control Program the motorist selection course of action is crucial.

Requirements:

• Unipolar stepper motor
• AT89C51 Microcontroller
• ULN2003A Driver IC
• Transceiver (MAX-232)
• Computer Interfacing
• LCD

Recommended Project: Stepper Motor Control Using PIR Sensor

Advantages of step motors are low cost, high reliability, high torque at low speeds and a simple, rugged construction that operates in almost any environment. The main disadvantages in using a step motor is the resonance effect often exhibited at low speeds and decreasing torque with increasing speed.

This report includes both receiver and transmitter circuit along with complete working of the project and micro-controller programming of the project. Use this report only for your reference and study work.
